Giants hope to rebound against Cardinals

Fresh off a good old-fashioned butt-kicking in New Orleans, the New York Giants will be back in the friendly confines of the Meadowlands Sunday night for a date with the Arizona Cardinals (8:20 pm ET, NBC).

The previously unbeaten Giants went into the Louisiana Superdome last weekend for a hugely hyped showdown with the also-undefeated New Orleans Saints. What was supposed to be a close matchup, one that would come down the wire, was instead a blood bath from the opening minutes, as QB Drew Brees led the Saints’ offense down the field almost at will.

The Giants lost 48-27 as a 3-point underdog, with the score going over the over/under total of 47.5.

The Giants will no doubt be anxious to rebound from that embarrassing loss, although Arizona has won two straight since coming off their bye week and appears to have its offense in order.

The Giants are a 7-point favorite in NFL Betting Odds at Sportsbook.com.

New York is 6-4 SU over the past 10 meetings but has covered in just four of those games. Only three of the meetings have gone over the total.

The teams last met Nov. 23 last season, when New York won 37-29 as 3-point road favorites.

The Cardinals defeated NFC West rival Seattle 27-3 as a 3-point underdog in Week 6. The score went under the total of 46.

Kurt Warner passed for 276 yards with a pair of touchdowns for Arizona, while Larry Fitzgerald caught 13 passes for 100 yards and a touchdown in the win.

Arizona is 3-2 SU and 3-2 ATS while New York is 5-1 SU and 4-1-1 ATS.
