Baltimore Ravens (9-3) at Kansas
City Chiefs (7-5)

The Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs meet this week
in Kansas City with both teams trying to improve their postseason
chances. Baltimore is in a much better position than Kansas
City but a loss this week would have the Chiefs only a game
back of the Ravens. The Ravens are in good position though
and they have a very good chance at their division title and
a good seed in the playoffs. Head coach Brian Billick said.
"Fortunately, we are in a position where we can control
our own destiny and we move forward. We don't have to rely
on anyone else. Nothing else has to happen except for us to
play good football, and we are capable of that." SBG
Global reports that the betting public believes
the Chiefs will play better, taking Kansas City laying the
points.
The Chiefs are in a much more delicate position as they are
in a five-way tie with the Jets, Bengals, Broncos and Jacksonville
for the two wild-card spots in the conference. The Chiefs
have made the playoffs just once in the last eight seasons.
The Ravens offense had been rolling but hit a roadblock last
week against Cincinnati in which they did nothing until the
final minute. The defense, which ranks first in the league
in yards allowed and second in points allowed, played well
but not well enough. The Ravens also lost return specialist
B.J. Sams for the season last week with a broken fibula.
Kansas City is a 3 point favorite with a total of 36 at
SBG Global.
The Chiefs are in recover mode after allowing the rotten
Cleveland Browns to come back from 14 points down last week
and win in overtime. Kansas City's offense looked good against
the Browns but the defense went back to being horrible.
Kansas City has won each of its three meetings against the
Ravens, all in Baltimore. The Chiefs have won 18 straight
home games in December. The Raves are 22-9-1 ATS in their
last 32 games following a loss. The Ravens are a poor underdog
going 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games as an underdog. The
Ravens are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 road games vs. a team
with a winning home record. The Chiefs are 6-0 ATS vs. a team
with a winning record and they are a sparkling 10-2 ATS in
their last 12 home games. The Chiefs are 9-4 ATS in their
last 13 games as a favorite. The Under is 7-2-2 in the Ravens
last 11 vs. the AFC. The Under is 36-16-1 in the Ravens last
53 games as a road underdog. The Under is 6-2 in the Chiefs
last 8 games as a home favorite.
