SBG Global Opening Line: Saints - 5

An experienced Philadelphia Eagles squad takes on a youthful but talented New Orleans team as the Eagles and Saints battle in New Orleans Saturday night. The Saints will be trying for their first ever trip to the NFC Championship game while the Eagles will try for their fifth trip in six years. With the Eagles playoff history as successful as the old Buffalo Bills, SBG Global reports the gambling public is all over the Saints at home.

New Orleans went 10-6 and won the NFC South. Leading the way for the Saints are Pro Bowl quarterback Drew Brees and running backs Deuce McAllister and Reggie Bush. Brees finished with a career-high 4,418 passing yards to lead the NFL. He also threw for 26 touchdowns. McAllister led the team in rushing with 1,057 yards while Bush led them in receptions and was 10th in the league overall.

The Eagles suffered some bad news as Pro Bowl cornerback Lito Sheppard suffered a dislocated right elbow in the win over the Giants and is out for this game. Philadelphia won its sixth straight game by beating the Giants last week. The Eagles have been led by running back Brian Westbrook and quarterback Jeff Garcia. Westbrook is averaging 106.7 yards in his last six games. He carried 20 times for a career-high 141 yards and one touchdown last week. Philadelphia finished with the league's second-rated offense behind New Orleans at 381.4 yards per game.

The Eagles lost 27-24 at New Orleans on Oct. 15. This will be Philadelphia's first road playoff game since losing at St. Louis in the NFC title game five years ago.
