Baltimore Ravens at Denver Broncos

Week 5 – Monday, 8:30 pm Eastern – ESPN

Monday Night Football – McNair and his birds flock to Denver.

Although Denver has won 11 straight at Invesco Field including a 12-10 victory over Baltimore on Dec. 11; SBG Global reports that the public continues to play the trend of picking away teams this weekend. Most online gambling action is on the Ravens plus the 4.

The Baltimore Ravens are 4-0 for the first time in franchise history, thanks to a great defense and the leadership of quarterback Steve McNair. After 11 seasons with Tennessee, McNair was traded by the rebuilding Titans to Baltimore for a draft pick. McNair usually finds a way to win. He was a total of 81-59 as the Titans starter. "It's not an exciting offensive ballclub, but we get the job done. This is what we have to believe in," McNair said. "It's all about pitch, catch and blocking."

Denver is a 4 point favorite with a total of 33 at SBG Global.

McNair threw a 10 yard touchdown pass to Todd Heap with 34 seconds remaining as the Ravens beat San Diego 16-13 last Sunday. Two weeks ago, McNair led a 47-yard drive that ended in Matt Stover's 52-yard field goal to beat Cleveland 15-14. "There was no doubt in my mind we would win this game when No. 9 went out there," Ravens cornerback Samari Rolle said after Chargers win. "He's been through everything you can be through as a quarterback. He's been MVP. He's been in the Super Bowl. He's just got it."

Other good news for the Ravens includes their defense which ranks second in the NFL with just 219.0 yards allowed per game, including a league-best 63.2 on the ground. Denver's defense has also been good, going a team-record 11 quarters without allowing a touchdown before New England broke through in the fourth quarter two weeks ago. Denver (2-1) had a bye last week.

Javon Walker has made a big impact on offense for the Broncos. Acquired in a draft-day deal with Green Bay, Walker made two touchdown catches against the Patriots. "We were starting to hear a lot of murmurs that maybe we lost that ability to stretch the field when we lost Ashley (Lelie), but anyone who watched that game Sunday night saw we certainly have with Javon the ability to stretch the field in a big way," safety John Lynch said.
