Oakland Raiders at Denver Broncos

Week 6– Sunday, 8:15 pm Eastern NBC

Randy who? Early action is on the Broncos.

The Denver Broncos try to stretch their home winning streak to 13 games when they meet the winless and hapless Oakland Raiders Sunday night. Although the Raiders were the last team to beat the Broncos in the regular season at home, early action at SBG Global shows that the Broncos’ are where the money is.

Denver (3-1) has outscored opponents 284-140 in winning 12 straight regular-season games at home, including Monday night's 13-3 victory over Baltimore. The Broncos are tied with Seattle for the longest current home winning streak in the NFL.

The Broncos are a 15 point favorite with a total of 36 at SBG Global.

Denver has become one of the league's elite defenses, joining the 2000 Miami Dolphins as the only teams since 1940 to allow one touchdown through the first four games. The Broncos have been great in the red zone, limiting opponents to one touchdown and five field goals in 11 trips. They are holding teams to an average of 1.7 yards per play inside the 20-yard line.

''It's always the difference in the game: that red zone,'' said Denver head coach Mike Shanahan.

Denver's offense isn’t doing much but they are still winning. Plummer has completed 51.8 percent of his passes for 673 yards, three touchdowns and five interceptions. Since joining the Broncos in 2003, Plummer is 5-1 with a 99.3 passer rating against the Raiders.

The Raiders' defense has been horrible, allowing 28.3 points per game, which is tied for 29th in the NFL. Oakland has lost 10 straight games and looks pretty much hopeless. The latest problem for the Raiders is blowing leads. The Raiders led 13-7 at the half last week before going blocked punt, interception, interception, fumble and interception.

Oakland quarterback Andrew Walter didn’t finish Sunday's game after back-to-back interceptions, but Marques Tuiasosopo threw two more.''It seems like right now in my career I trade one good play for one bad play,'' said Walter. ''That's no way to get it done.''

Oakland is 53-36-2 against Denver, but the Broncos have outscored the Raiders 161-66 in winning five of the last six meetings.
