#4 Michigan at Penn State

Week 7 – Saturday, 8:00 pm Eastern ABC

Get the “Henne” out of my way!

One year ago at Ann Arbor, Chad Henne hit Mario Manningham from 10 yards out with no time left as Michigan handed Penn State their only loss of the year, 27-25. That pass capped an eight-play, 53-yard drive in the last 53 seconds. According to SBG Global, there is a surprising amount of wagers being placed on this game – all on Michigan.

Henne won't have Manningham on the field this time as he tries to help Michigan keep Penn State from getting revenge in Happy Valley. The sophomore receiver underwent arthroscopic knee surgery Tuesday after injuring his knee in Michigan's 31-13 win over Michigan State last week.

Manningham leads the conference with 527 yards and nine touchdowns, and has caught eight of Henne's 11 TD passes in the last four games.

Michigan is a 6 point favorite with a total of 41 at SBG Global.

The Wolverines have won seven straight over Penn State. The Wolverines have outscored opponents 201-85 this season after knocking off the Spartans on Saturday. Big Ten rushing leader Mike Hart ran for 122 yards on 22 carries and the Michigan rush defense, which entered the game tops in the nation, allowed only 60 yards. ''We do have confidence that we can run the football,'' said Michigan coach Lloyd Carr. ''We feel like we can run it even when they have a lot of guys stacked up there.''

Penn State will look to Anthony Morelli as they try to beat Michigan. The junior is coming off a strong game, going 20-for-34 for 281 yards and two touchdowns in last week's 28-27 overtime win over Minnesota. ''I'm very impressed with this Penn State team,'' Michigan coach Lloyd Carr said. ''We have to go back on the road and play our best game.''
Penn State will look to extend their winning streak at Beaver Stadium to 12 games as they try to end their skid against Michigan. The Wolverines lead the series 8-3, and have won the last three matchups at State College.

''Michigan,'' Penn State coach Joe Paterno said, ''may be the best team in the conference.''
